Questions about the SunTek Halogen Heater
The SunTek was developed to address a common problem in all homes in that the bathroom is never warm enough. The SunTek is designed so that any home owner can install this wall mount heater in minutes in any location and have "INSTANT" soothing heat.

How easy is it to install?
This wall mount heater takes about 3 minutes to install. You can mount it to tile, mirror or drywall. Mirror and tile uses adhesive strips that attach to the back of the mounting bracket. The SunTek is 22" long and 3" wide and can be vertically or horizontally mounted. The reflector pivots 15 degrees so you can easily focus heat where you want it.

Where to install?
We recommend placing it near where you stand in the bathroom but not over the sink or near the bathtub. Place it 18 inches away from the sink. The reflector pivots 15 degrees to easily focus heat where you want it.

How much power does it use?
The SunTek uses 750 watts. Costs pennies per hour to operate. Uses 6.5 amps which will allow you to operate a hair dryer or curling iron when the SunTek is on.

How long does the Halogen lamp last?
It is engineered for 5,000 hours which will last years. The lamp is snap in mounted and can be changed in less than a minute.

How bright is the Halogen element?
It is not as bright as halogen light bulbs. The SunTek element operates in the heat spectrum not the light spectrum due to a different coil winding and temperatures. The light it emits is ideal in the bathroom to shave or put makeup on with. A red quartz sleeve is available if you don't like the light that it emits.

What colors does it come in?
White, black or special order chrome (allow two weeks for delivery on chrome)

How long is the power cord?
The 6' power cord can be shortened by pushing it into the slot on the rear housing and running excess cord in the power cord slot. A plastic trim kit is supplied so that you can hide the cord on the counter for a clean installation. The trim kit uses adhesive tape supplied to secure it to tile or any other material.

What are other applications?
Primary is the bathroom, but works great in laundry rooms, garages, workshops, motor homes and in factory areas where the operator needs to be kept warm.

ON/OFF Switch?
The SunTek uses only 750 watts so power usage is not a primary concern. In the bathroom, you usually spend only 10-15 minutes so you turn it ON when you enter and turn it OFF when you exit. The heat is very comfortable and soothing so it is unlikely you will find it to hot to be comfortable. A tipover plunger switch is on the rear of the unit to deactivate it it it came off the wall.

Is the wire guard hot?
You can touch the grill when the heater is ON and it will not burn you. The chrome grill reflects the heat so it will not become hot.

What is the SunTek made of?
SunTek is built of high temperature plastic and anodized aluminum which will never rust or corrode in a humid area.

Permanent Installations?
The SunTek can be mounted directly over a wall receptacle box and be hard wired so that the power cord is not visible.

What type of testing?
SunTek is ETL listed (same as UL). You can splash it with water with no adverse effects. The light it emits is not as bright as a standard halogen reading lamp and there is no adverse effect from looking at it. It cannot hurt your eyes.

Who makes the SunTek?
The SunTek is designed and built in the USA by Prime Heat Inc., a world leader in halogen heating systems.
